New Head Start program based partially on neuroplasticity
A new Head Start intervention program based on neuroplasticity produced major improvements in the kids’ behavior and brain functions supporting attention. Using learning exercises for the children (and separate sessions for the parents that focused on the value of attention skills and positive parenting), the intervention created significant gains in the kids’ selective attention skills, non-verbal IQ and language skills.
