High cholesterol in late life may mean better brain health
Although subjects in a new study who were ages 75 to 84 and had high cholesterol than they did in midlife had a 50% higher risk of marked cognitive decline, the opposite was true for those ages 85 to 94. Those with higher cholesterol than at midlife had a 32% lower chance of developing cognitive decline.
