Teens with ADHD have higher crash risk and more violations
A team of researchers from Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s Center for Injury Research and Prevention and Center for Management of ADHD looked at the records of newly licensed drivers to determine what role ADHD played. The large-scale longitudinal study found that teen drivers with an ADHD diagnosis were more likely to crash, be issued traffic and moving violations and engage in risky driving behaviors compared to their peers without ADHD.
