Researchers from the environmental and occupational health sciences at the University of Washington School of Public Health study’s mice to see what could trigger the symptoms of cognitive decline. They found that heavy metal exposure to cadmium, combined with a genetic predisposition to Alzheimer’s, could impair cognition.
