Retinal plaques may be biomarkers for Alzheimer’s
New findings published in Alzheimer’s & Dementia indicate that amyloid plaques found in the retinas may be an indicator of similar Alzheimer’s plaques in the brain. The discovery indicates that the eyes may provide a more visible biomarker for detecting disease risk.
