One dose of ADHD drug can reduce falls among older adults
A single does of MPH (methylphenidate), which is normally used to treat people with narcolepsy and ADHD, can help the elderly. The drug helps improve balance control (while walking), which reduces the risk of falls. In this recent study, all the adults were at least 70 years old.
