Paeonol may be able to treat neurogenerative diseases
Neuroresearchers pretreated organotypic hippocampal slice cultures and primary microglial cells from a rat’s brain30 minutes to adding lipopolysaccharide. They found that the paeonol has neuroprotective abilities and reduces the release of neurotoxic and proinflammatory factors in microglial cells. This could be helpful to treat Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.
