Sports medicine physician says kids shouldn’t play football
Dr. Pietro Tonino of Loyal University Medical Center is advising parents not to let their kids play high school. He says it’s just not worth the risks – especially long-term consequences of injuries sustained even during youth. Compared to other sports, 14 percent of football injuries are considered serious, with concussions being the biggest concern.
