Trauma linked to cognitive decline in adults
According to new research, people who suffer from trauma—either in childhood or adulthood—may experience more cognitive decline as they age compared to those who haven’t gone through trauma. In addition, adults who went through recent trauma had a larger impact on certain kinds of cognitive function than those who experienced it in childhood.
