Using bright light therapy to treat TBIs
Bright light therapy may help people suffering from mild traumatic brain injuries with their sleep, emotion, cognition and brain function. Patients who underwent six weeks of morning bright light therapy had decreased daytime sleepiness and were less depressed. It also made them more alert and there was more brain activation during demanding tasks.
